CHALLENGE FROM BOSS QUEEN RHONDA & THE VILLAGE SWEETIES IN THE VILLAGES, FLORIDA: In honor of our Grand Marshal, Aunt Faye—and her 100th Birthday!—The Village Sweeties are donating $100 to Batson Children’s Hospital and they want to CHALLENGE/INVITE ALL OTHER QUEEN GROUPS TO DO THE SAME.

Big-A** Cake Competition! At Sal & Mookie’s during Big Hat Brunch. Local Bakers will create Wondrous Cakes for us to view—and also to EAT! Really Cute Celebrity Judges plus cast your Queenly Votes for Excellence in Decorating and Taste!
Big-A** Hat Competition — Your HATS will be JUDGED at Sal & Mookie’s this year—I KNOW how y’all LOOOVE a contest (and a PRIZE)—so go on, OUT-DO YOURSELVES!
~12:45 p.m. — Big Hats on Parade — informal sashay from Sal & Mookie’s into the center of Fondren. We want EVERYBODY to SEE our Fabulous Big Hats, yes?
YOU WILL RECEIVE A MAP of the FONDREN BUSINESS DISTRICT.
Boutiques, Antique Shops, Gift and Garden Shops, Shoe Stores, Art Galleries, Bakeries, Coffee Shops—there’s even a SALSA STUDIO (the kind you dance, not eat!) What could you possibly want to see, eat, do or buy that ISN’T in Fondren? And ALL ARE LOCALLY OWNED INDEPENDENT BUSINESSES!
There will be MUSIC AND SIDEWALK SPECIALS at the shops and restaurants. The Buses will make a circle through the area as we arrive so you can SEE all the SPOTS YOU WANT TO VISIT AFTER THE BIG HAT BRUNCH and on Saturday before Parade time.
2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. — The Everyday Gourmet’s Annual Wannabe™ Welcome Party. (Included in Weekend Pass)
BUSES will run between Hilton-Jackson and Sal & Mookie’s and The Everyday Gourmet from 10:45 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. (Weekend Pass Required to Ride Buses.)
3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. — Chillin’, Gossipin’, Tellin’ Lies — in Fitzgerald’s at the Hilton—snacks and music provided by the Hilton.
8:00 p.m. - Midnight. — Pearls & PJs and Pelo Grande (translation: oversized hair-dos) in the BALLROOM at the Hilton.

6:00 p.m. — Marchers Line Up @ Stadium.
~7:00 p.m. —Parade Rolls!

Music details to come. Jill will speak. Yes, we really do wear bathrobes. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. Don’t dawdle, get on up and get down there—Jill needs to start speaking at 9:30 so folks with planes to catch can make it in time!
