There has never been a statewide welcome home parade for these HEROES anywhere and WE are gonna give them one that they'll NEVER FORGET!
The HILTON-JACKSON, of course, is our O-fficial Hotel and they are offering a SPECIAL ROYAL RATE for ZDD™ WEEKEND in honor of my 32nd Anniversary as THE Sweet Potato Queen!
NOTE: Anniversary presents for 32 years = Suck-Up Gifts Involving CONVEYANCES — as in AUTOMOBILES! Bwahaha! The chart I read indicated that It understood that "most people cannot necessarily afford to give cars" and It suggests alternatives such as gift certificates for THE WASHING OF THE EXISTING CAR! Snort! Anybody who knows me, KNOWS I have NEVER washed a car, nor do I intend to begin. It does not, however, delve into the problems that could arise should multiple givers present One with actual cars! So, to avoid any issues, let me say, motorized vehicles of any kind, except new aircraft, will NOT be accepted as Suck-Up Gifts for this or any year. Thanks for your cooperation.

- If you want a room & tickets to the Bathrobe Brunch — tell him that — the code is "BRUNCH." You MUST tell him the number of folks who are staying in your room and want Brunch Tickets. If you do NOT, you will only get one (1) ticket!
NOTE: the reduced ticket price is ONLY available in advance, when you book your room. If you wait until you arrive, you'll have to pay $39/each — IF space is available. (For 4 in a room, that's a $64 savings — imagine the drinks that'll buy.)

~12:45p — BIG HATS ON PARADE — an informal sashay from Sal & Mookie's into the center of Fondren. We want EVERYBODY to SEE our Fabulous Big Hats!
A map of the Fondren Business District is inside the March issue of Find It In Fondren™ (available at the Hilton). There are numerous boutiques, antique shops, bars, gift and garden shops, shoe stores, art galleries, bakeries, coffee shops, and even a salsa studio (the kind you dance, not eat). And, they are all locally owned, independent businesses! There will be music and Sidewalk Specials at some of the shops and restaurants.
The buses will pass through Fondren's Business District in route to Sal & Mookie's so you can SEE all the spots you want to visit after the Big Hat Brunch and on Saturday before Parade time.

9p—Midnight — PEARLS & PJs and PELO GRANDE (Translation: Oversized Hair-dos—as always, Size Does Matter!) in the Ballroom at the Hilton, with Kacey Jones and Chris Gill & the Sole Shakers!

REGARDING COSTUMES AND FLOAT DECORATIONS:
We have had a request from local Veterans' groups asking us to PLEASE REFRAIN FROM USING "PEACE" SIGNS. Please be sensitive to this: Many returning Vietnam Vets came home and were assaulted and spat upon by groups of people wearing that emblem and so it remains a source of pain for those folks.
Who can be in the Parade? You must be EITHER in a Mini-Float Krewe OR have a Weekend Pass to actually be in the Parade. Parade starts and ends at the Mississippi Memorial Stadium, in Fondren.
