Headed to Tigah Country now–Tulsa & Wichita SOON!
Posted January 28th, 2009 by Jill Conner BrowneWe outran the ice & made it to Mom & Dad’s for a couple days of Heaven! On our way to Baton Rouge right now under skies that my Daddy would have said are “fair as a goat’s ass!” Now there’s a nice saying for you!!
Be in BR tomorrow–benefit for American Cancer Society at lunch. Can’t believe I’ll have to give up my NEW jacket to some Queen tomorrow!!
Will console myself with lotsa Barefoot!
Tomorrow night will be at Barnes & Noble–in OLD jacket & no doubt the winner of the NEW one will be there in it, gloating!
TULSA & WICHITA are being rescheduled–should be there in a couple weeks–will keep you posted!
For all of you scavengers who were anxiously anticipating the process of snatching my crowns & other jewels from my frozen corpse—SOOO-RRY!
I understand that Kimmy Darling wanted my hot pank snow boots? On those tiny feets of hers, that would be a sight!
We are forging ahead with our “Going to the Chapel” theme for the Million Queen March. In case you haven’t heard, there will be an ACTUAL wedding ON our float, in front of the Governors Mansion–with our own personal Judge, the Honorable TammyCynthia officiating!
Get out your tacky bridesmaids dresses! You CAN wear them again, YES YOU CAN!
Leaving Mom & Dads mountain home today–WE SAW A BEAR. This is HUGELY important because for as long as I have known Kyle, every SINGLE time we have gone up there, I have had to hear that “in his whole life growing up in those mountains, he had NEVER seen a bear.”. And then the full litany of Who All HAD seen one and when and where–and I know that SEEMS like it would be totally fascinating to hear– but the novelty wore off several years ago frankly.
So, YAY–we SAW a freakin’ bear today–so, if in his excited state he drives us OFF the side of this mountain–HE at least will die happy. Me & the dogs will be just as dead albeit somewhat less fulfilled.

Who knew a book tour could be so action-packed and downright dangerous? You manage to make it all look so glamorous.
It is hard to blame the others for calling dibs on your accessories in case of your untimely, frost bitten demise. There is nothing quite like a few sparklies to comfort a girl in a time of grief. The glamour must go on.
A wedding theme for the parade — well, me and my real-life once-upon-a-time matron-of-honor are all booked at the Hilton and ready to march. Said matron-of-honor better not be wearing the dress I made her wear at MY wedding because I really did try to get her to look cute, but the dress IS green and WOULD look cute with pink high-tops…!!! We are trying to secure a convertible so we can show-off our cuteness to the maximum effect when we roll into town. The only thing we love more than a wedding is a parade!!!
See you soon!!!
Your other favorite.

And it is always possible to take what was ONCE a lovely and stylish garment and embellish it with enough rhinestones, glitter, sequins and feathers so as to render it visible from outerspace! THAT’S what we’re looking for here!
