IT’S OFFICIAL–BAILEY HAS THE FLU…
Posted August 30th, 2009 by Jill Conner BrowneShe’s at Ole Miss–they’re not even sending it off to see if it’s H1N1–they’re just treating everybody–and I mean EVERYBODY, from what she said–and telling them to stay in their rooms. They were instructed to e-mail the Dean if they tested positive–apparently, when it hits 40%they’ll cancel classes. From the sound of the ER, I’d give that about 15 more minutes! She said it was a ZOO. We offered to drive up and get her but she’s afraid for us to catch it–since we have Mama here and all. Kyle told her he’d wear a respirator and gloves if she wanted to come home but she’s being Vewwy Bwave–at the moment.

As your esteemed daughter, she should be brave, particular, and eat bacon when she gets better. I promise to pray for her.

My daughter thankfully does NOT have the flu but I’ve gotten umpteen emails from Tech’s health department. They recommended kids go home, if they can but they have arrangements for delivered meals from the meal plan and such. Could her dad help at all?

Poor little bo peep! I sent mine off to Texas this year. I sure do hope she doesn’t catch it. Those little bitty girls are too skinny to get sick. Just called a little bit ago, the group of them just found the kitchen in the bottom of the dorm of 4000 kids. So they’re cookin for about 10. So it doesn’t sound like they’re feelin too bad.

Poor baby. She prolly doesn’t even feel like a long drive home. I know I wouldn’t if I had the flu. Is there someone there who can check on her and bring her food whenever she feels like eating?

Hope Bailey is better soon, for your sake MAMA, or you will worry like we all do. She will be ok, will put her in the prayer box, where you and your Mama already are.
I am keeping you in there till after your gator hunt. ha..ha..

I am waiting to see if this flu rears it ugly head at Southern Miss, too.
Sorry for Bailey, its tough being sick and away from home, and Momma.

Khaki–are you SERIOUSLY ASKING ME if BabyDaddy could hep out or was that a joke? because…BWAHAHAHAHA! Now, KYLE would, of course, walk up there and carry her home on his BACK.
She just got some new cough meds called in, the first jacked her up instead of knocking her out. Her best friend-boy (whom she infected) is picking her up to go to the pharmacy. They are having FLU PARTIES–where all are already sick–piling up on beds, couches, etc. to watch movies and moan. Kinda like hurricane parties only with codeine and fever!
