Listen, y’all need to check out today’s Mobile paper- these guys bagged a gator that was over 13 feet and weighed 701 lbs. They had a hard time getting the thing into the boat it was so big. Hell, the thing looked older than me and resembled a very long dinasaur. We see them all the time down here, but I’m sure not going huntin’ for those mean critters!!

I AM SO JEALOUS… a friend of mine is sneaking down to the coast gator huntin’ tonight (calling it sneaking, because I was not invited, and this man has eaten literally sacks of crawfish that I have slaved over at my feeds, I think he owes me!). I’m thinking you just have never lived until you’ve been gator huntin’. I’m just all over this!! I gotta find a seat in a boat soon, I cannot be missing out. I have receipes!!!

boy– better you than me. the south has much to recommend it but i don’t think gator hunting in a swamp in the middle of the night would ever be at the top of my list. why, i might brake a nail or have my hair friz up.

of course , i am still in shock over the news that less paul died. thank heavens chuck berry is still going strong
