Right on with this one Jill. Hell, I've seen animals that can make a home, feed & love their babies better than some people I've known! There should be parent testing or something to that effect. Some types have no bidness makin' youngins.
*£ove* Assmonkey! I might just have to borrow that one :)

This was my first FD without my Daddy. And I called him Daddy, not Father. Just like I called my mother, Mama, not Mother. Guess that's just from being raised in the South! I miss my daddy, but I know he's with Mama and not suffering anymore. But Mama and Daddy will always be in my heart and thoughts. I had the best of both. They were particularly fine Christian parents. I was sooo blessed. I had a boyfriend to tell Happy Father's Day to. He's a good daddy, too. He's worked hard all his life to provide them with a higher education and good wholesome life values. I've only met his son, but I look forward to some day meeting his daughter, who is a special education teacher, just as I was before I retired in 2001. Where would this world be without fine men like most of the daddy's of the world. I'm so glad I DID have a man to tell HFD to this year, especially since I didn't have my own daddy.

Lite a candle and said a prayer today at church for all the "Daddys" of my friends. So proud of the daddys in my family cause they're great daddys to all my grandchildren. My daddy died when I was 14 (1960) and I still miss him everyday. Mamas are a pretty good invention also.

The great man I married is not just a step-daddy to my two kids - he actually adopted my daughter- and he loved my son and daughter til their heart believed in daddy's again. He's priceless and what I see shared between the three of them is too. Yeah, he's a daddy - not just a father!

Very well put, Jill. I still think about Mr. "C". Missing my own daddy, who died on my mama and daddy's 60th wedding anniversary, in 2007. My mama passed away 10 months later from grief. He was a great dad and I sure do miss him....

Amen! What I would give to hug my daddy and tell him how much I love him just one more time (He died in 1983) and my step-dad who was with us for 20 years after him, too (he died in 2007)!

No truer words spoken! Thanks Jill. I too wish I had a daddy that I could hug and kiss today and tell him (in person)how much I love him !!! I will be driving by his grave later on today and will tell him then (won't stop though....just can't do it).

But I'm gonna take your advice and tell as many daddy's today "Happy Daddy's Day". AND I know plenty of assmonkey fathers that I will tell a thing or two.

So tell TCBITW Happy DD for me and y'all have a wonderful day. Hope you don't spend ALL day at the hospital with mama....

hugs and love to you
